Spincast Spins ‘Tears’

The Savvy Screener downloaded the Spincast app but unfortunately didn’t find Tears of a Broken Virgin. We were happy, however, to find A Boy and His Dog, the classic 1975 sci-fi flick based on a novella by Harlan Ellison and starring Don Johnson. We also found episodes of such series as How to Do Florida, Super Geek Heroes, The Northwest Outdoorsmen, The Design Tourist and Naturevision.

Spincast, an app that offers free video content over iOS, Android and other devices, said it has added Tears of a Broken Virgin to its lineup. Set in Nigeria, the short film is about “a vengeful rape victim who goes on an unconventional revenge mission and not even the marriage proposal from the rapist can change her mind.”

Tears of a Broken Virgin was produced and written by Ifu Ennada, who also stars as the rape victim/vigilante and sings the title song, “Revenge.”
