Platform Guidelines
Spincast operates an entertainment network. Like other broadcast and streaming networks, we maintain platform-specific standards for content delivery, technical quality, metadata, advertising creative, and onboarding.
These standards are designed to keep ingestion, playout, advertising, and AI-powered monetization reliable at scale. Where a written agreement incorporates these Platform Guidelines by reference, the requirements published here apply as provided by that agreement. Spincast may update these guidelines periodically. The applicable written agreement controls if there is a conflict.
Content Partner Platform Guidelines
Network-ready content, without special AI post-production
Professional television and film distributors are accustomed to delivering programming to the technical and editorial standards of each network. Spincast follows the same model.
Spincast does not require a separate shoppable version of a program. Content partners do not need to use a proprietary authoring tool, manually mark hotspots, tag products frame by frame, or provide a shoppable-item manifest for Spincast's AI technology to work with accepted programming.
Once accepted programming is delivered to Spincast's network standards and ingested for distribution and playout, it becomes part of the same AI-actionable network environment. Spincast can apply AI-powered discovery and shoppable monetization without additional shoppable post-production by the content partner.
Rights, metadata, captions, and artwork
Content submitted for distribution should be rights-cleared for the agreed uses and delivered with the materials needed for professional network distribution. Required or requested materials may include:
- Meaningful program titles, subtitles, and descriptions.
- Unique season numbers, episode numbers, segment numbers, and file names.
- Accurate metadata for each delivered asset.
- Usable closed captions.
- Required key art, thumbnails, and other approved artwork.
- Any additional rights, rating, or descriptive metadata required for the applicable distribution package.
Spincast may provide an upload form, spreadsheet template, bulk-delivery method, or another mutually agreed delivery workflow.
Program preparation and commercial breaks
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- Files should not contain leaders, color bars, or tones. Programming may be presented substantially as delivered.
- Television programming should be edited for two commercial breaks for each half hour of runtime.
- An episode may be delivered as one file with 2 seconds of black at the beginning and end and at least 10 seconds of black between program segments.
- Alternatively, each program segment may be delivered as a separate file with 2 seconds of black at the beginning and end of the segment.
- Movies prepared for commercial breaks may use the same single-file or separate-segment delivery approach.

Content onboarding and quality control
Our standard onboarding process is intended to identify delivery issues before they become expensive operational problems.
- Review the Platform Guidelines. The content partner confirms that its masters, metadata, captions, artwork, and break structure can meet the applicable requirements.
- Complete an onboarding review. Spincast and the content partner review the delivery workflow, sample assets, and any known exceptions or gaps.
- Deliver representative materials. Spincast may validate sample masters, metadata, captions, artwork, and file naming before bulk delivery.
- Deliver the approved package. The content partner delivers the accepted programming and associated materials using the agreed method.
- Complete ingestion and quality control. Spincast validates the delivered package for distribution and playout.
- Enter the AI-actionable network environment. Once accepted programming is ingested, no separate product-tagging or shoppable-authoring pass is required from the content partner.
Out-of-spec content and remediation
Spincast's standard model assumes that professional content partners deliver network-ready programming. If delivered materials do not meet the applicable requirements, Spincast may require corrected materials or redelivery.
When Spincast agrees to coordinate remediation, additional work may include caption correction, metadata supplementation, artwork preparation, format conversion, break editing, re-segmentation, file renaming, or other processing needed to bring the content into specification. Any related costs may be recouped or otherwise handled as provided in the applicable written agreement.
This approach keeps standard delivery efficient while preventing unusual post-production requirements from being silently absorbed into network operating costs.
Advertising Partner Platform Guidelines
Spincast supports programmatic video advertising through familiar OpenRTB and VAST workflows. Because Spincast is building advertising inventory for AI-enabled shopping, video creative must provide both an actionable destination and a sufficiently high-quality visual asset for AI processing.
Required OpenRTB video bid creative
All OpenRTB video ad bids submitted to Spincast must include VAST creative that contains:
- A valid VAST
<ClickThrough>destination. - And at least one of the following:
- A VAST
<Mezzanine>asset; or - A VAST
<MediaFile>asset with a minimum native resolution of 1920 x 1080.
- A VAST
A click-tracking URL alone does not replace the required <ClickThrough> destination.
These requirements allow Spincast to identify an approved destination for viewer action and obtain a visual asset suitable for AI-enabled shopping and CTV presentation.
Video bids that do not meet the current requirements may be rejected, excluded from AI-enabled shopping, or otherwise handled according to the applicable integration or advertising agreement.
Recommended VAST structure
<VideoClicks>
<ClickThrough>https://advertiser.example/product</ClickThrough>
</VideoClicks>
<MediaFiles>
<Mezzanine type="video/mp4" width="1920" height="1080">
https://cdn.example/ad-mezzanine.mp4
</Mezzanine>
</MediaFiles>
Or, when a Mezzanine asset is not supplied:
<MediaFiles>
<MediaFile type="video/mp4" width="1920" height="1080">
https://cdn.example/ad-1080p.mp4
</MediaFile>
</MediaFiles>
The examples above illustrate the Spincast-specific shopping requirements. Partners remain responsible for producing otherwise valid OpenRTB and VAST responses that meet the requirements of their approved integration.
Questions or exceptions
Platform requirements can vary by content package, advertising integration, rights profile, or distribution destination. Proposed exceptions should be reviewed with Spincast before delivery or production activation.
